Well-being Works Better is a platform to help business leaders foster a culture of health and well-being. Using the latest research and actionable guidance, Well-being Works Better offers a comprehensive suite of resources to help leaders measure and improve their workforce health and well-being strategies. The Well-being Works Better Scorecard offers industry-specific comparisons and comes with a complimentary results report. This platform aims to provide strategies to help unlock the potential of a healthy and happy workforce.
Five Scorecard sections evaluate your organization’s culture of health and well-being. There are 46 questions in total.
● Organizational policies and environment: 24 questions
● Programs and interventions: 5 questions
● Communication and Engagement: 6 questions
● Reporting Outcomes: 6 questions
● Organizational well-being: 5 questions
The Well-being Works Better Scorecard recognition levels are:
● Completer: 0-54 points
● Bronze: 55-82 points
● Silver: 83-108 points
● Gold: 109-128 points
● Platinum: 129-138 points

You can complete the Scorecard on a quarterly basis. However, please note that only your most recent submission will be used for recognition purposes.
A maximum of 138 points can be achieved. The table below outlines the number of questions, points associated wit each section, and percentage of contributions to the overall score.

No, if you already have a Well-being Works Better single sign-on account that was previously used to complete the Scorecard, you do not need to create a new account.
You can access your previous results in the old Scorecard portal until Feb. 28, 2026. After that date, you will no longer have access to your results.
On the login page, select "forgot password," and reset instructions will be available on the next page.

You must finish the current section first. Then select "Save & Continue" at the bottom of the page to ensure your responses are saved.
Select “Update Organization Info” on the Well-being Works Better dashboard.

Organizations will be publicly recognized on the Well-being Works Better website and in other promotional opportunities.
If your organization is recognized at the Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze level, your digital recognition toolkit will include:
● Scorecard recognition use guidelines
● Downloadable high-resolution recognition icons
● Social media activation and messaging guide
● Congratulations letter
● Well-being Works Better certification template
● Template news release for local, one-time use
Your recognition materials are available immediately upon completion of the Scorecard!
Organizations may use the supplied recognition toolkit for 12 months following the American Heart Association’s announcement of recognition levels.
We recommend that only one person per organization complete the Scorecard.
The Scorecard will close on November 30th and reopen on January 1st. You will be able to complete the Scorecard quarterly during this open window.
Completing the Scorecard will take between 45 minutes to an hour, depending on whether the user has previously created a Well-being Works Better account.
